Managing a workers compensation claim requires employers to balance care for the worker, compliance with their obligations and the need to manage organisational risk. This practical session explores the decisions and conversations that can either help resolve a claim or unintentionally cause it to escalate. Drawing on real workplace scenarios, we will look at common mistakes, key decision points, communication, appropriate boundaries and how employers can support recovery while maintaining a fair, consistent and defensible approach.
