To apply for access please complete the online application form below. Please note that MDGuidelines will only issue an account to an individual (not a group).

Once you submit your application and agree to the disclaimer, you will receive:

  • An email from WorkCover Tasmania acknowledging your registration
  • An email from Reed Group with your username and password for your login

    WorkCover does not require the use of the MDGuidelines.

    WorkCover considers that the MDGuidelines may be of some assistance to medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers in the treatment of injured workers. The MDGuidelines are not guidelines issued by WorkCover for the purposes of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and are not made available or recommended by WorkCover for the purposes of fulfilling legislative responsibilities. In particular, WorkCover considers that the MDGuidelines should not be used as a tool for cancelling compensation entitlements or for determining evidence based benchmarks.

    WorkCover does not act as an agent for the Reed Group (the provider of the MDGuidelines) in assisting making the MDGuidelines available for use by medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers. WorkCover is under no obligation to continue to provide such assistance. The Reed Group does not act as an agent for WorkCover.

    The Reed Group may submit reports to WorkCover about the usage of the MDGuidelines website by users who access the MDGuidelines website through the arrangements made between WorkCover and the Reed Group.

    WorkCover disclaims all and any liability and responsibility of any kind (including without limitation any liability for losses, costs, expenses or damages) to any person (including without limitation users of the MDGuidelines who access and use the MDGuidelines pursuant to the arrangements made between WorkCover and the Reed Group) in connection with or arising out of:

    • anything done, or any thing omitted to be done, relating to the use of the MDGuidelines;
    • the use of the MDGuidelines website;
    • any error or omission in the MDGuidelines; or
    • any combination of these.
