The code of practice for Managing electrical risks in the workplace:
- provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with electrical work; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
- applies to all workplaces where electrical work is done and anyone involved in these activities
- explains the risk management process, specific hazards and control measures
- covers working de-energised; isolations, locking off and access; energised electrical work and working near energised electrical parts; tools and equipment; and high voltage electrical work
- compares portable and non-portable residual current devices (RCDs)
- includes a checklist.
