Executive Director - WorkSafe Tasmania

Liz is the Executive Director of WorkSafe Tasmania and the Work Health and Safety Regulator for Tasmania.

With more than three decades of leadership experience across complex government portfolios in Queensland and Tasmania, Liz has held senior roles spanning education, justice, workplace health and safety, and employment, small business and training.

Liz is recognised for her ability to coach leaders and teams, cultivate strong cross‑sector partnerships, and drive cultural and operational transformation. Her career includes leading statewide safety and injury‑management strategies, overseeing major organisational restructures, guiding agencies through critical incidents and natural disasters, and improving workers compensation performance outcomes.

A committed contributor to the public sector community, Liz has chaired and participated in numerous communities of practice, led sector‑wide initiatives, and volunteered extensively in disaster recovery, major events, and community organisations. She brings a deep commitment to wellbeing, ethical leadership, and the creation of safe, high‑performing workplaces.
