The code of practice for Confined spaces:
- provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with work carried out in a confined space; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
- applies to all workplaces where confined spaces work is carried out and anyone involved in these activities
- covers the duties of designers, manufacturers, importers, suppliers, installers and constructors
- covers specific control measures such as entry permits, isolation, communication and monitoring, entry/exit procedures, and emergency procedures.
